Wausau, WI – The Wausau RiverWolves of the NA3HL are proud to announce that forward Mitch Idalski has committed to play Division 2 (ACHA) college hockey at Utah State.

Idalski, a native of Grand Forks, North Dakota played in 92 games over his two years with the RiverWolves. In those games he recorded 70 points with 29 goals and 41 assists. Idalski also captained the 2019-20 RiverWolves. He becomes the 11th former RiverWolves player to commit to play college hockey.

Mitch is a player that brings excellent energy to everything he does on the ice and we are looking forward to following his collegiate career at Utah State, ” stated Head Coach Colin Bailey.

WAUSAU, Wis.- Mitch Idalski’s hat-trick highlighted the RiverWolves 12 -1 win in game one of a three game weekend series vs the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts Thursday Night at Marathon Park Ice Arena.

Rollie Carlson put the RiverWolves on the board early as he unleashed his first junior hockey goal at 1:29 into the first period, which was assisted by Garrett Alton.  Jordan Tomaszewski made it 2-0 good guys after a scrum in front of the Evansville net. Alton extended the RiverWolves lead to 3-0 as he tallied his second goal of the season.  Colin Brey and Tate Stansbury added the helpers.

Mitch Idalski netted his first RiverWolves hat trick at the 14:59 mark of the third. Alexander Gilev saved 19 of the 20 shots on the evening. While Evansville’s Noah Brandau saved 83 of the 95. The RiverWolves play game two of the weekend series versus the Evansville Jr. Thunderbolts tomorrow at 7:30 pm. It’s also a $2 Beer Night presented by Budweiser.
